Picking paint colors

I am moving into a new apartment August first and I get to paint. Yeah! The landlord is even paying for the paint. Another Yeah! As some of you may know I love turquoise and purple. So I thought why not try those on a wall. It's not for certain my landlord is 100% ok with my color choices but here is what I am inspired by.

Most people react in a suprised manner when I say I want to paint my apartment turquoise and purple. But it is a basement and I think these colors could make it look really bright and cheery. I would love your feedback so please leave a comment.

Bunting flags for the Twins Birthday party

Jen, my sister in law, is throwing a big birthday party for my twin nieces Caroline and Hannah first birthday. It should be a blast. There is a contest where people will dress up as twins. I am going to ask my mom because we kind of look alike. I asked Jen if I could help with the decorations and we came up with the idea of making paper bunting flags. I had lots of paper in girly colors so I was up for the challenge.

Making Jewelry for Tango

I have been busily getting a collection of necklaces and bracelets ready for a store in Peterborough called Tango. With the help of my friend Lisa I have put together quite a collection. I also have a photographer named Chance from Chance Faulkner Photography who will be taking pictures at Tango later on this week.

Bird's nest necklaces

I saw these on a blog and I wanted to try them. I had all the materials from making wire crochet necklaces so I made a bunch this afternoon as I was hanging out at my favorite cafe the Silver Bean. I am going to be a vendor at a outdoor concert in Toronto on June 7th so I thought I would make some for that.

Crafty plaque

I saw this saying on Pinterest and I knew that I wanted to use it for my craft room. I saw on a blog to use letters and then paint over top. I found all of the supplies at my favorite Dollar store, Dollar Tree. 

Wire Crochet Necklaces

I have been crocheting up a storm since I took my class in Toronto last week. It is actually kind of relaxing. I had my first order this week from a friend. She wanted a really chunky necklace so this is what I made her.
