Nigel
Alida and Dylan
Now let me tell you a little about Alida (she's going to get a bit embarrassed, sorry Dee.) I call her Dee and can't really remember why I started, we have been friends so long. We have been friends for 21 years. She is the best friend a gal could ask for. She has cried with me in hard times and rejoiced with me in my joys. We plan to be friends for a long time. We will still be having tea parties when we are 80.
Dee and I used to have parties when we were teenagers and they didn't involve alcohol. We would have tea parties. I would set it up all nice for her and we would have tea in my parents living room. We would usually argue over what tea was better, black or herbal. Yeah I know we were hardcore teenagers.
Over the years Dee and I kept in touch through university and with me living in the states for six years. I was in Alida and Jordan's wedding in 2004 which was such an honor. She is an absolute blessing in my life, the best friend I could ask for.
So yesterday I asked her three boys if I could be their aunt and they agreed. I recently prayed that Lord if I am not going to have children than send me more nieces and nephews. I love being an auntie and I am so excited to be Nigel, Khol and Dylan's aunt. Alida told Nigel that me being their aunt means that I get to go to his wedding. I am there.
Twas a wonderful day Laura- thanks for the making that happen so smoothly! The ZOO was a perfect place to hang out:)and we still got our tea in.
